Rebecca Minkoff Fall Winter 2014 Ready To Wear – New York Fashion Week

Rebecca Minkoff is one of my favourite designers. I own multiple bags and jewellery pieces from her so I couldn’t have been more excited to see the new Rebecca Minkoff Fall Winter 2014 Ready To Wear collection during New York Fashion Week yesterday! One thing I love about the brand is the fact that everything is so practical, wearable and feminine. Too many times I see stand out pieces on the runway which are not really suitable for day to day life, but that’s where Rebecca Minkoff takes the crown in my opinion. Everything is easily wearable and stylish!

During the catwalk show, there was a live performance by British electro-pop duo AlunaGeorge which really set the mood for the collection. There were elegant knee length skirts as well as silky mini skirts, tailored outerwear which were menswear inspired, sports jackets, gorgeous boots, some shearling, trousers, dresses and a whole lot of metallics. I noticed two different colour themes for this collection and that was pretty pastels in pink, purple and cream, but those were contrasted by strong jewel tones like ruby and sapphire. The intense metallic pieces in a pewter gold tone were also incredible! They would be perfect for a night out! I definitely can’t leave out the bags and Rebecca Minkoff didn’t disappoint me with the ones she sent down the catwalk. I can’t wait for so many of these pieces to become available!
