New York Fashion Week kicked off yesterday, starting a months worth of shows in 4 different fashion capitals. I’m starting my fashion week posts with the Coach Fall Winter 2014 collection. There was a large photo of an Oregon street from the late 1970’s as the setting for the runway show, which I thought made a really cool backdrop for Stuart Vevers brand new presentation.
As for the collection, it was a mix of traditional American sportswear and more tailored pieces with prints. I noticed that outerwear played a huge role in this Fall Winter 2014 collection though, almost as much as the bags and shoes did. There were also some amazing skirts, fitted with round hems and embellishments, perfect for a girly vibe when out with your friends! I noticed a lot of shearling too, mixed into the boots and jackets, which is something that always screams Fall to me! What do you think of the new Coach collection? You can read more about it at WWD.
