The Betsey Johnson runway shows are one that I look forward to seeing each season! Betsey has such a unique and quirky personality, she always makes the shows incredibly energetic and fun, much different to the usual straight faced and fierce looks that other designers usually send down the catwalk. One look I always remember was when Katy Perry wore her Betsey Johnson dress to the People’s Choice Awards back in 2011. I had seen the stunning purple party gown on the runway just moments before and then Katy stepped out wearing it and looked incredible!
I can see from this new Spring 2014 Betsey Johnson Ready To Wear collection, that danced down the runway during New York Fashion Week a few days ago, has a very similar dress, but this time in a pink and peach colour palette, with hints of lilac. I think this dress style is one of Betsey’s staple pieces as I see it released season after season! There were also so many fun and flirty floral prints, ruffles, leopard print, bikinis and even lots of coloured underwear with the days of the week and slogans on the butt that came out at the end in a party style walk! It was such a fun and very unique fashion show, which you can definitely always expect from the crazy and funny Betsey Johnson!
