Marc Jacobs Ready To Wear Spring 2014 – Fashion Week

Last night, Marc Jacobs closed New York Fashion Week with his Spring 2014 Ready To Wear collection. I watched live as the models walked an incredibly long runway with an amazing theme! Marc went all out with his old and scary ship theme which started out with the terrifying Jaws music and transitioned into a horror piece. The models came down a ramp and walked a black glitter runway all around the room, perfectly timed I might add as there was a point when they had to cross each other and there wasn’t one crash!

Marc Jacobs is one of my favourite designers and I’m usually a huge fan of his every single season, but this Spring 2014 line from him was just not my taste at all. It was very Gothic and portrayed vampire style as a lot of it reminded me of Dracula. The colour palette was also incredibly dark for spring, everything was black, burgundy, navy and dark green, with vamp style lace. I wasn’t a fan of the huge over embellished jackets and masculine looks that he gave the models, but the show itself was incredible! I actually recorded the entire show from start to finish last night as I was watching it and you can see the full video by clicking here. You definitely need to watch it! It’s amazing!
