Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay Review

Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay Review 2

I’m doing a review on the new Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. I’ve had this mask for a few weeks now and have used it numerous times and absolutely love it. I’m already a fan of the Charcoal mask and the 10 minute spot mask, but wanted to try something a little more nourishing. I first read the statement on the Origins site about this new Retexurizing Mask and thought it sounded good:

Glow big with our innovative 2-in-1 mask! Made with Mediterranean Rose Clay, Canadian Willow Herb and exfoliating Jojoba beads, it helps gently deep clean while refining skin’s texture. Pores appear to vanish. Clarity is restored. Glow is instant.

After giving it a go, I can definitely say it’s a great mask and does what it’s supposed to. You first start out by washing your face as normal, to clean away any dirt and oils, then you apply the mask to your skin when it’s dry, using your fingers. I make sure I get a good enough amount on so that my face turns pink, the same shade as the mask itself. Don’t get it in your eyes, make sure you avoid that delicate area!

I leave mine on for about 10-15 minutes, roughly when it feels really dry and like it will crack when you smile. Then, unlike most masks that you just wash off, this is different. You need to wet your finger tips and then massage the mask into your face in circular motions to start the exfoliation process. There’s a lot of granules or exfoliation beads in the mask, so once you wet it and start the circular motions, you get a great exfoliation which is amazing! Then, make sure you wash it off fully, and follow with your serum and moisturizer.

I tend to do my mask at night before I go to bed as that’s when I do most of my routines, to make sure the skin has enough time to absorb it without applying make-up on top. I’ve been using this mask about 1-2 times a week, which is recommended, and I have noticed an improvement overall. My skin does feel more healthy and the little marks and scars that I have from left over acne damage are actually starting to fade which is a bonus! For only £23, I can’t recommend this mask enough! I would say it might be my second favourite, behind the 10 minute spot mask! I truly do love Origins and live by their face care daily! Click here to buy it online at Look Fantastic.
