My blogger spotlight this week is on Rebecca Sundvall of Trendeneur. She’s a 22 year old fashion blogger from Sweden and Amsterdam with gorgeous style, often choosing short boxy dresses or easy denim shorts. I got to chat to her to find out more about her blog and her style. Check it out below!
What’s your history in the fashion industry?
There’s not a lot of history I would say! I started out by taking a course in men’s fashion last year and then after the summer I moved to Amsterdam to study Fashion Management at Amsterdam Fashion Institute. In September I was also lucky enough to get a job as a Brand Manager at a newly launched fashion brand called FracasNoir, which truly is a dream come true.
What made you decide to start your fashion blog?
I started blogs on and off since I was 14 but never stuck to it and about 4 months after I quit my last one I really started to feel the urge to start a fashion and lifestyle blog. I decided to wait for a couple of months to see if it was not one of my impulsive ideas but I was still as excited after that time so with some help from my aunt I set up trendeneur.com
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Literally everywhere. I look a lot at other blogs but usually only to get new ideas and inspiration for photography. I also read a lot of magazines but I wouldn’t say that inspires the way I dress. I’ve always dressed like I want to regardless of what is trendy or what other people wear. Of course it’s impossible not to get influenced but mostly I think I get most inspired by the way I feel at that moment.
How would you describe your personal style?
As I said earlier I dress the way I feel and I would usually never put on anything uncomfortable. I believe that you look the way you feel so I would never put on something I don’t feel 100% me in. I am more of a jeans and t-shirt girl than a dress-girl but from time to time I get this urge to look really girlish, which I think is to compensate for all the casual looks.
Do you have some favourite pieces in your closet?
Not really. My favourites change quite often but as boring as it may sound, if I had to pick something it would probably be the basics. One piece of clothing that I wear so much that it’s almost falling apart is a Acne oversized t-shirt. Also my favourite pair of black jeans came from Yellow Rat Bastard in New York. They are completely ripped now but I just can’t throw them away since they don’t produce them anymore.
What one thing can’t you be without?
A pair of skinny black jeans! They work with absolutely everything and always make me feel super comfortable.
