My blogger spotlight this week is on the lovely Jaclyn Leblanc from Mrs Jaclyn Leblanc blog. She loves fashion, food and decor as well as neutrals with a pop of colour! Jaclyn is living in Toronto with her husband and Pomeranian, but is from North Carolina. You can find out more about her in my interview below!
What’s your history in the fashion industry?
Clothes have been my “thing” for as long as I can remember and I’ve been lucky enough to write about fashion and beauty for my job for the last five years. The industry and trends change from day to day and that’s one of the things I love about it; people might laugh and say that what you wear isn’t important but I completely disagree. Personal style reflects so much of who you are.
What made you decide to start your fashion blog?
I’ve been reading style and shopping blogs for a while and love the opportunity to connect with other ladies who love fashion as much as I do! My family and friends have always asked me about what to wear, where to buy certain things, etc so they were all really encouraging about this hobby (and so sweet and helpful about taking my pictures!).
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I do a lot of outfits for less – recreating an expensive celebrity outfit that looks just as fabulous is satisfying and fun! My wardrobe also depends on my location. I have moved a lot and always find myself inspired by where I am at that moment, whether it be craving a sundress and wedges while in North Carolina with my parents or a cozy sweater and over the knee boots when in Toronto with my husband.
How would you describe your personal style?
I gravitate towards outfits that are simple but with a twist depending on how I’m feeling that day.
Do you have some favourite pieces in your closet?
My collection of vintage purses. I also just picked up a pretty pink dress from LOFT on super sale that is staring at me, waiting to be worn once spring gets here!
What one thing can’t you be without?
Right now I’m obsessing over skincare so I cannot be without my Murad products. And a really great lip balm.
