Here is the new McDonalds, I mean Moschino Fall Winter 2014 Ready To Wear collection from Milan Fashion Week. I thought this collection was amazing! It was so much fun and really inspirational in a crazy way! The show started an hour late as everyone had to wait for Katy Perry to arrive (which she did to loud boos) at late Franco Moschino’s house, which he built.
My attention was instantly grabbed the moment I saw the McDonald’s inspired pieces walking down the runway to kick start the show! I think the red and yellow was really eye catching and the bags were even shaped like happy meal boxes! Instead of using the official McDonalds M logo, Moschino opted for a heart shape instead. After about 8 of these looks, it transitioned into quilted denim and then into quilted leather, which became really tough with buckles, chains and straps. I wasn’t so much of a fan of these looks as they are very far from my style, but I did really like the metallic gold playing off of the black though.
Next the theme was Sponge Bob Square Pants! I was really surprised as I never expected to see Sponge Bob walking down the catwalk! There were baggy sweaters, coats and bags with his face and print on and even a pair of hot pants! For the finale, the models wore gowns that were inspired by old food wrappers and packaging. They literally had the print all over them and I thought this was incredible! I would love to see some of these worn to a red carpet event! Moschino had so much fun with this new Fall Winter 2014 collection and I loved it! What do you think of it?
