Here is the new Prada Fall Winter 2014 Ready To Wear collection from Milan Fashion Week. I actually really loved these pieces as they were so strong and luxurious. Jewel tones in red, purple and yellow silks graced the models bodies and were accompanied by some intricate prints. Designer Miuccia Prada stated “I really went bold. I liked this theme.” “It’s about humanity, it’s about people, feelings, emotion. I wanted to try to transmit that kind of humanity and that kind of thinking.” I think it showed through quite well.
The coats were incredible in this collection though, I especially fell in love with the purple trench coat with yellow trim, I thought it was so inventive, but perhaps the black version with gold trim would be much more wearable! The geometric style colour block prints on the dresses and some of the other coats were fantastic too! They livened up the show entirely and became quite a focal point. A lot of the coats and jackets were cut quite square, giving them a masculine edge, but due to the fact there were so many colours and feminine dresses, it really counteracted that and created a harmonious balance. You can see the looks in the gallery below. What do you think of the new Prada Fall Winter 2014 collection?
