The Missoni Fall Winter 2014 Ready To Wear collection took to the runway of Milan Fashion Week a few days ago. Angela Missoni described the collection as “A very feminine girl in men’s oversize outerwear” which is actually very similar to so many other designers for the FW14 season. I’ve seen a consistency when it comes to oversize coats! To me though, the main focal point of this new collection was centered around the knitwear, coats and layering, it was really well done. I had already shared with you a preview of the new collection in the Missoni pre-fall 2014 campaign, so I was very much aware of what the pieces were going to look like.
I don’t usually say that I am a massive fan of Missoni as I don’t actually own anything from the brand, however, after seeing the full Fall Winter 2014 collection, I might just have to! I adored the colour palette and was elated to see that they didn’t use any pastels! They stuck to a traditional Fall colour palette of brown, orange, mustard and green, but with a hint of cobalt blue peeking through at the end! The yellow coat above is my favourite from the entire show! The knitwear was colour blocked and printed as well as being layered, while skirts and trousers took over the bottom half. Missoni didn’t seem to showcase any dresses either which is another thing they did differently. You can see the previous M Missoni Fall 2014 collection which showcased during New York Fashion Week and you can check out the full collection in the gallery below! Do you like Missoni?
