Here is the brand new and very amazing Gucci Fall Winter 2014 Ready To Wear collection which showed at Milan Fashion Week a couple of days ago. Gucci always make incredible collections, so I was very excited to see this one and I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest! It was everything that I had hoped it would be!
Designer Frida Giannini stated in the programme “I felt the need to materialize the essence of Gucci,” and mentioned that the collection was about a woman who “dresses to please herself rather than others,” which of course translated into the most amazing wearable pieces! Giving a nod to the past (like other designers), the new collection has a 60’s inspired theme, in a very updated way. The outerwear was a huge part of this collection, making a statement each time a look hit the catwalk, but pairing the huge shaggy and cosy coats with the knee high boots and sunglasses was perfect, in a retro way. The best thing about this new Fall Winter 2014 collection was the colour palette, it was full of pastels which varied in shades from lilac, rose, baby blue, sage and peach, but then it transitioned into leopard prints, jewel tone yellows and red and finally into evening wear. The dresses which closed the show were gorgeous! Covered in crystals and in chic fits, it was perfect! I can’t get enough of the Gucci Fall Winter 2014 collection!
