Burberry Prorsum Autumn Winter 2014 Ready To Wear – London Fashion Week

One of my favourite shows during London Fashion Week definitely belongs to Burberry Prorsum! I always anticipate what music/band they will have playing, if they will have new styles for the finale or petals falling down like in previous seasons. Two of their shows which I have always found memorable was the AW13 with the jewel tone trench coats at the end and also the SS14 with the petals falling down. I have to say that I was slightly disappointed that there wasn’t any grand gestures during the Burberry Autumn Winter 2014 Ready To Wear show, but I still loved it.

Paloma Faith, Ed Harcourt and Rhodes provided the music in front of a backdrop of London which changed into swirling water colours to match the prints of the clothes. You can see that the dresses, trench coats, skirts and tops were all swirled in pastel tones with various floral prints! Christopher Bailey always knows how to design such a classic collection of wearable pieces! Nothing is ever too bold or outrageous! He was inspired this time around by the Bloomsbury set’s country retreat at Charleston in East Sussex, England.

Since the clothes looked a lot like a Spring Summer collection with the floaty light weight fabrics, all focus for me was on the outerwear and I loved it! Christopher had his Scottish mills weave a stack of wool and cashmere blankets in stripes and geometric patterns, which some models had their initials stitched on to. Cara Delevingne closed the show and you can see hers written across the bottom. The best thing about these blankets was how versatile they were! Models wore them as shawls, blanket inspired coats and even jackets! Moving onto shoes and accessories though, there were some gorgeous ankle boots with peep toes and the bags were big, structured and printed with more of the water colour floral swirls! I absolutely adored the whole Burberry Autumn Winter 2014 collection! You can watch the video just below on my YouTube and check out the photos in the gallery.
