Blogger Spotlight: Monica Awe-Etuk from Awed by Monica

Next up in my blogger spotlight is Monica Awe-Etuk from Awed by Monica. I recently came across her blog when I was browsing around and fell in lover with her style. She mixes a lot of designer pieces with high street and has a really unique and diverse style. One moment she could be wearing something quirky, like the look above, and the next she might go for something simple like a maxi skirt and sweater. There are definitely quite a few pieces from her closet that I would love to own! Read her interview below.

What made you decide to start your fashion blog?

So I started the fashion blog when I was on maternity leave with my now 16 month old baby girl. It really was the response to my friends, family and clients telling me how much they wish they could take me home with them to style there lives. By showing off my personal style, I get to style, inspire my friends, family, clients and my growing blog following.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from everything, literally! I get inspired by color, the pages of life and style magazines as well as fashion magazines, street style, weather etc. I get inspired by real people and I pick and choose what I like and make it mine.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is what I would call classically-trendy. I find myself buying classic pieces, but styling my outfits to become somewhat trendy.

Do you have some favourite pieces in your closet?

I have too many favorite pieces. Right now my Chanel Pins and all my scarfs are definitely favorites. They all have a way of totally transforming an outfit.
